TOM DOUGLAS
“I chose carne asada and carnitas from the pretty extensive menu that included tacos, burritos, gorditas, tamales, quesadillas and more.  Also there are good salsas- mild, medium, hot, and smoking!  My favorite thing is the big jar of pickled vegetables on the counter with whole jalapenos, juniper berries, sliced onions, tomatillos… so authentically Mexican!”

SEATTLE WEEKLY
“. . . the tacos will set your mouth abuzz”
“El Camion is perhaps the most design-conscious taco truck to ever hit the road.”

YELP
"El Camion is my new favorite taco truck"
"Seriously, their carnitas is simply mind blowing."

SEATTLELUNCHBLOGS
“my favorite Taco Bus, El Camion. I love street food and there is no better example . . .”
“If I had to use one word to describe El Camion it would be clean.”
“And the best part is the food is fantastic.”
“The Carne Asada was fantastic”
 “homemade Salsa Verde.”

Noodle Taco
“El Camion serves delicious tacos, burritos, quesadillas, gorditas, mulitas, tortas and tamales out of a cute little black trailer decorated with a string of red chile lights.”
“Whatever kind of eater you are, El Camion will not fail to please your palate and your pocketbook.”

AAA
“extensive” menu
 “tasty”
“authentic”
[the horchata] “supposedly quaffed by the Aztecs, is made from ground rice, ground almonds and water. It was refreshing, slightly sweet and had hints of vanilla and cinnamon, not unlike a dialed-down eggnog. It made a good foil for the tacos.”

SEATTLE TIMES
“Don't miss the fish tacos.”
“El Camión: a truckload of goodness”
“El Camión . . . a great place to grab a quick bite or get a cheap, filling meal for the whole family.
“Relax in lawn chairs underneath deck umbrellas”
Fresh-grilled white fish comes topped with bits of cabbage and a mild green salsa.
“The mulita — a quesadilla on steroids — is also yummy
“I may need to cook up a home-improvement project to justify more trips to El Camión.”

URBAN SPOON
"El Camion - Best Salsas"
“Very tasty.”
"Great taco 'truck' food...worth the drive"
“Even if you don't happen to be in need of some 2x4's or a light fixture, it's worth dropping by the Home Depot parking lot to eat at El Camion.
“The tacos are great, as are the tamales.”

METBLOGS
“The burrito I ordered (carne asada) was delicious, and the two salsas I tried out of their selection (an avocado-based green and a smoky, creamy red) brought some hope that future trips to big-box stores in North Seattle could be accompanied by reasonably-priced, authentic taco truck detours.”

SEATTLE MAGAZINE

“Our new favorite: El Camion (Shoreline, 11728 Aurora Ave. N; 206.367.2777) has been treating north-enders to its fresher-than-most Mexican in the Haller Lake Home Depot parking lot for two years, spawned a SoDo truck this summer (2918 First Ave. S; 206.659.0236). With still-firm veggies, fresh fish tacos, and beef cheeks, tongue and some darned fine carnitas, the food’s worth standing in line for.”

KQED El Camion has three locations in Seattle and folks like Tom Douglas and publications including the Seattle Weekly and The Seattle Times have raved about the tacos. I had the chance to try the chicken mole taco -- I'm a huge fan of mole, especially when it's done right. And El Camion nailed it. The mole was warmly spiced with hints of cinnamon and pepper. Fabulous spicy salsas, too. And an extremely friendly, exuberant staff. Folks were talking about these tacos well into the afternoon.
